  5. The SNNSv3.2 directory consists of the following files: 
  6.  
  7. (Executable files  are  marked with a '*'  suffix,  directories with a
  8. '/',  symbolic  links with a '@' in this Readme file. These characters
  9. are not part of the filenames).

  11. Readme            this file Readme
  12. Readme.getSNNS        Readme file how to obtain SNNS
  13. Readme.install        Readme file how to install SNNS
  14. Readme.license        Readme file of the SNNS license
  15. Readme.dec        Readme file with dec notes
  16. Readme.linux        Readme file with linux notes
  17.  
  18. build*            shell script to build SNNS
  19.             (must be invoked after 'configure')
  20.  
  21. cleanup*        shell script to clean up the SNNS directories
  22.             from old executable and temporary files
  23.  
  24. configuration/        configuration directory (used by 'configure')
  25.  
  26. configure*        shell script to create the proper SNNS 
  27.             Makefiles (must be called before 'build')
  28.  
  29. default.cfg        Default SNNS window configuration file
  30.  
  31. examples/        examples directory (SNNS network, pattern
  32.             and configuration files)
  33.  
  34. help.hdoc        English help documentation for context
  35.             sensitive help from within SNNS. This ASCII 
  36.             file can be also be used as a primitive user 
  37.             manual if you cannot print the PostScript manual
  38.             or obtain the written documentation

  40. kernel/            SNNS simulator kernel directory
  41.  
  42. snns@            symbolic link to ./xgui/bin/<architecture>/xgui
  43.             the SNNS executable. (This may have to be
  44.             done manually)
  45.  
  46. tools/                  directory with some useful tools and demos to help 
  47.             with the usage of SNNS
  48.  
  49. userman/        hookup place for SNNS user manual LaTeX sources 
  50.             directory. The manual itself has to be retrieved 
  51.             and unpacked seperately.
